By the editors · 2 min readA peppery opening cuts in fast — dry, slightly metallic, less spice rack than freshly cracked. The pepper does most of the work in the first ten minutes, framing what's coming rather than hiding it.
Ylang-ylang and nutmeg in the heart turn the composition warmer and rounder. The ylang adds a creamy, slightly banana-tropical sweetness that tempers the spice; the nutmeg keeps the whole heart from drifting into floral territory. Leather and amber settle in the base, the leather smooth and modern rather than animalic, the amber providing a soft balsamic glow. Closer-wearing than the bottle's name might suggest — masculine but not aggressive, suited to cool-weather evenings.
