The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 11 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readNo. 2 Bergamot and Leather Spritz opens with bergamot and lavender — an aromatic pairing that borrows from the classic fougère template, though what follows departs from that tradition. The leather heart is dry rather than animalic, and iris introduces a powdered edge that softens what could have been an abrasive accord.
The base adds oud and amber, where the fragrance earns its complexity. The oud is resinous rather than smoky or medicinal, deepening the leather without overwhelming it. This is a gender-neutral composition that works best in cooler weather — understated at first but coherent by the drydown, with better longevity than Zara's lighter entries.
