By the editors · 2 min readRich Leather is misnamed but worth understanding on its own terms. The opening is pineapple — bright, tropical, slightly sharp — which reads immediately as a fruity aromatic rather than anything leathery. Pink pepper in the heart provides a dry spice that restrains the sweetness without fully eclipsing it. Cedar and moss in the base ground the composition with a quiet, dry woodiness tinged with greenness.
The actual result is a crisp, slightly tropical woody fragrance that wears unisex despite any marketing positioning. The leather of the name is absent or very latent — perhaps aspirational to the amber-woody drydown. Clean, simple, and wearable across seasons, though best in spring and early summer when its freshness reads as intentional.
