By the editors · 2 min readUnexplored Noir opens with a spice-forward duo of cardamom and pink pepper that sets a warm, slightly edgy tone. The heart is where this composition earns its name: pine tar — a smoky, medicinal note not often found in accessible fragrances — sits alongside cashmeran's soft warmth and the powdery pairing of iris and violet. Most wearers won't register the pine tar consciously, but it gives the heart a distinctive darkness that separates this from standard Zara fare. Caramel and sandalwood in the base soften the smoke into something more approachable. Better suited to evening wear in cool weather, when the dark notes have room to breathe.
