Aether Arts Perfume
Art in air.
Aether Arts Perfume is the studio of Amber Jobin, an indie perfumer based in Boulder, Colorado. Jobin began formal study in 2009 with Dawn Spencer-Hurwitz of DSH Perfumes and launched her own house shortly after, working as what she calls a conceptual perfumer — fragrances built around a specific idea, image, or place rather than a category brief. The catalogue ranges across all-botanical compositions and mixed-media work using both naturals and aroma chemicals. Be Boulder, an all-natural portrait of the Colorado Front Range built around blue spruce, ponderosa pine, sage, and fossilised amber, won Jobin recognition from the Art and Olfaction Awards. Other releases, like Atomic Bride and Tea & Takhi, take a more theatrical and narrative approach. Aether Arts is small, sold mainly through Etsy and a handful of indie retailers, and suits collectors interested in American art-perfumery rather than designer mainstream.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
