Afnan
Where craft meets confidence
Afnan Perfumes is an Emirati house headquartered in Sharjah, founded in the late 1990s as part of the broader Gulf perfume industry that grew up alongside the oud and attar trade. The brand sits within the affordable end of the Middle Eastern market, aiming to package the region's signature olfactory vocabulary — oud, rose, saffron, ambery resins — for buyers who can't reach Amouage or Roja prices. Its catalogue is broad and sometimes openly inspired by Western luxury releases, with bottles that echo Baccarat Rouge, Lattafa-style oudh treatments, and prestige designer florals. Distribution is global, with strong footholds in South Asia, North Africa, and increasingly the United States and Europe. Afnan is rarely the perfumer's choice for sophistication, but it is one of the houses most responsible for making Gulf perfumery legible and affordable outside the region.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
