Akbari Perfume
Ancient Persian scent vocabulary, modern European craft.
Akbari Perfume was established in 2023 in Bulgaria as a niche house drawing its creative vocabulary from ancient Persian perfumery tradition while employing contemporary European technical methodology. The house name references the Mughal Emperor Akbar, under whom the courts of the Indian subcontinent developed richly sophisticated attar and resin-based fragrance culture connected directly to Persian influence. Akbari's compositions explore Persian-adjacent materials — rose, saffron, oud, amber, frankincense, and sandalwood — assembled using modern accords and European construction technique. Bulgaria's location as a historic bridge between East and West, and the country's deep connection to rose cultivation in the Valley of Roses near Kazanlak, provides natural geographic logic for the house's material philosophy. The brand is a recent entrant in the niche market and has built early visibility through social media and specialty niche retail distribution, appealing to the growing audience for Eastern-inspired European niche perfumery.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
