Al Shareef Oudh
Third-generation Australian attar and oud house.
Al Shareef Oudh is an artisanal fragrance house with operations in Perth, Australia, and Kelantan, Malaysia, founded in 2013 by Al Shareef Jawed, a third-generation master perfumer trained in the traditional art of eastern perfumery by his grandfather and father. For generations the family has composed custom oud oils, attars, and mukhallaats — multi-layered oriental blends — for Arab royalty, tribal sheikhs, and private collectors, and the house now brings that lineage to a wider international audience through its curated retail catalogue. Jawed sources his own raw materials, including agarwood oil, rose, and musk, and employs ancient steam-distillation methods alongside careful maceration to build compositions of uncommon depth and fidelity to tradition. The house is prized in specialist oud communities for the purity of its single-species oud oils alongside its more complex attars, and its rarer materials command significant collector premiums. Al Shareef Oudh occupies a position rare in Western fragrance retail: a house with genuine generational expertise in the Eastern perfume tradition, accessible online while remaining determinedly handcraft in its production.
