Alexander Mcqueen
Alexander McQueen is the British fashion house Lee Alexander McQueen founded in London in 1992. Kering took a controlling stake in 2001, and the house has continued under successive creative directors — most recently Sarah Burton through 2023 — since the founder's death in 2010. The aesthetic, dark-romantic and historically literate, has shaped the perfume work too. The first scent, Kingdom, was composed by Jacques Cavallier and released in 2003. After a fallow period the category was relaunched under a P&G Prestige licence in 2013 and later moved to Kering Beauté, which the group set up in 2023 to bring fragrance development in house. The current line — McQueen, McQueen Eau Blanche, the Lust line, the Myths collection — works in lush floral, leather, and incense registers consistent with the runway. It sits in the prestige tier, sold mainly through department stores.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
