Amerigo

Amerigo was founded in 1995 by Loris Passaggia and Laura Piovesan in the Venetian countryside near Treviso, as a research and development laboratory dedicated to naturally derived cosmetics. The founding conviction was simple: that effective, beautiful personal care products could be built on plant-based and nature-inspired ingredients without the parabens, silicones, and petrolatums that then dominated the market. Today the house produces a full range of natural cosmetics — face, body, hair, and fragrance — all manufactured in-house at its facility in Scandolara di Zero Branco. Fragrances in the Amerigo catalogue tend toward luminous botanicals and warm gourmand accords: ginger with orange, rose over sandalwood, soft amber in the base. The brand occupies the accessible natural cosmetics tier in Italy, available through pharmacy channels, health food stores, and specialist perfumeries committed to clean formulation practices.
