Anfas By Asim Al Qassim
Arabian hospitality distilled into scent.
Anfas by Asim Al Qassim is a UAE-based niche fragrance house founded by perfumer and entrepreneur Asim Al Qassim, working in collaboration with French perfumer Christian Carbonnel. The name Anfas is the Arabic plural of nafas — breath — invoking the intimacy of scent as something as essential as air itself. Al Qassim draws on the Arabian tradition of fragrance as an expression of hospitality: the burning of bakhoor to welcome guests, the pressing of oud oil onto wrists before formal gatherings. The resulting compositions blend this cultural grounding with Carbonnel's European technical training, producing a niche catalogue that speaks fluently to both Gulf and Western fragrance audiences. The house represents the growing number of UAE founders who bring genuine personal narrative to their fragrance projects rather than simply packaging regional aesthetic clichés.
