Antonio Visconti
Heritage Italian perfumery, rooted in Grasse.
Antonio Visconti is a Roman niche project run by Antonio Martino Visconti, also the owner-perfumer behind Royal Crown — a separate, older house he founded in Rome in 2008 and that traces its mythology to a Renaissance family of master glove-makers at the Medici court. The Antonio Visconti label proper opened in 2015 with an initial release of around thirty fragrances. Compositions skew toward oriental and gourmand structures — oud, leather, tobacco, amber, dense floral absolutes — with the kind of high-concentration extrait approach common across contemporary Italian niche. Bottles are heavy, often gilded, and presentation runs to the maximalist end of the spectrum rather than the minimalist. It suits wearers exploring Italian indie perfumery beyond the better-known names, particularly collectors interested in the Roman scene and in owner-led houses where the perfumer is also the public face of the brand.
