Apivita
Greek natural beauty from Crete.
Apivita was founded in Athens in 1979 by pharmacist Nikolas Kourtis and his wife Niki, who drew on the ancient Greek tradition of using bee products — honey, propolis, royal jelly — as the foundation of a natural beauty philosophy. The name combines the Latin apis (bee) with vita (life), summarising the brand's entire orientation. From its origins as a pharmacy product, Apivita expanded into skincare, hair care, and fragrance, always rooted in Greek botanical ingredients sourced from specific island and mountain habitats. The fragrance line carries the same discipline: essential oils of Greek herbs, citrus, and florals combined with bee extracts in compositions that are clean, herbal, and distinctly Mediterranean. The house operates in the accessible tier, widely available in Greek pharmacies and international wellness retailers.
