Argos
Ancient myth distilled into rare scent.
Argos was founded in 2014 by Christian Petrovich, an American model and real estate developer of Italian and Russian descent whose extensive travels through Europe and the Mediterranean shaped his aesthetic sensibility. The house began as a private-label atelier creating bespoke fragrances for European clients before its public launch in 2018, with each fragrance produced in small batches at a specialized laboratory in Grasse, France. Every Argos release retells a story from Greek or Roman mythology, treating ancient legend as a vehicle for olfactory drama. The house uses rare natural ingredients sourced from across the globe, with an emphasis on botanicals, resins, and wood extracts that reward patient wearing. Argos occupies a distinctive position in the American niche market: a storytelling house with a clearly defined classical theme, handcrafted in the traditional center of French perfumery. It appeals to those who seek fragrance with explicit literary intent and the longevity of high-concentration natural materials.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
