Art of Scent Swiss Perfumes
The scent of Switzerland.
Art of Scent Swiss Perfumes was founded in Bern in 2008 by Brigitte Witschi, a perfumer whose unusual biography encompasses both professional fragrance training at the academy in Grasse and years working as a therapist with visually impaired and multiply handicapped children. That dual background informs everything the house does: scent is understood here as a vehicle for wellbeing and memory as much as beauty, and each composition is handmade and bottled in Witschi's Old Town studio with careful attention to the therapeutic dimensions of individual essences. The repertoire draws heavily on Alpine flora — edelweiss, alpine rose, mountain pine — alongside fine naturals sourced from around the world, giving the fragrances a quietly Swiss character without resorting to kitsch regionalism. Witschi also accepts bespoke commissions, creating entirely individual fragrances tailored to the client's personal story, and offers workshops and seminars sharing the history and craft of perfumery. The house is small by design, keeping production artisanal and the creative vision singular.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
