Atelier Oblique
Responsible Berlin niche fragrance.
Atelier Oblique was founded in Berlin in 2016 by graphic designer and creative director Mario Lombardo, whose background in editorial and typographic design is visible in every aspect of the house: spare packaging, precise label typography, and a conceptual rigour that extends to ingredient sourcing. The house commits to responsible and transparent production, working with certified sustainable suppliers and communicating material origins openly. Perfumes such as Headspace, Nachtblume, and Woodfire have attracted international attention for balancing clean, wearable character with genuine olfactory complexity. Atelier Oblique sits at the intersection of design culture and niche fragrance, appealing to a customer who thinks equally about objects and scents. It represents Berlin's broader contribution to European niche: thoughtful, principles-driven, and anti-maximalist.
