AzherOud was launched in 2020 by Adnan Azher, an independent Indian perfumer whose fascination with fragrance began in childhood through the gifting of attars that marked family celebrations. Azher formulates every scent himself, drawing on both classical Arabic perfumery techniques and contemporary niche conventions to produce extrait-concentration fragrances that carry high oil loads without alcohol as a base. The house specializes in oud — agarwood-centric compositions that honor the material's complexity rather than diluting it with synthetic approximations. Alongside oud, Azher works with pure attars, sandalwood oils, and rare naturals sourced with attention to provenance. The fragrances are handcrafted and tested repeatedly before release, reflecting a workshop ethos rather than a scaled production model. AzherOud has built a following within India's growing niche fragrance community and among international buyers drawn to genuine artisan oud work.
