bdk Parfums
This is the art of perfume, reinvented.
BDK Parfums was founded in Paris in 2016 by David Benedek, the third generation of a family that opened a perfumery near the Palais Royal in 1959. After studying at the Institut Français de la Mode, Benedek launched the house at age 26, choosing his initials over his own first name to position the project as a creative studio rather than a personal label. The catalogue is organised in named collections — Matières, Collection Parisienne, Collection Nomade — with Gris Charnel, Rouge Smoking and Vanille Leather among the wider hits. Construction skews modern-niche: smoky vanillas, leather, iris, urban florals, generally signed by perfumers including Alexandra Carlin, Mathilde Bijaoui and Cécile Zarokian. Pricing and distribution sit in the niche tier through Liberty, Bergdorf Goodman and a careful selection of independent perfumeries.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
