Birkholz
Handcrafted niche perfumes from Berlin, made by family
Birkholz Perfume Manufacture is a Berlin niche house founded by Andreas and Birgit Birkholz, whose flagship boutique on Friedrichstraße doubles as the brand's atelier. The catalogue is organised around four classes — Classic, Original, Edition and Limited — each gathering a dozen or so compositions around a shared mood rather than a single olfactory family. The work tends toward warm, slightly retro registers: oud, leather, vanilla, plum, tobacco, with a faint Mitteleuropean formality in the bottle design. Distribution is mostly German and central European, with select stockists in the Gulf, and pricing sits in the lower niche tier — high enough to feel composed, low enough to invite collecting.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
