Blancheide
French perfumes with an Italian heart.
Blancheide is a French maison of artistic perfumery founded in Grasse during the early 1990s by Pierre Stéphane Rubis, a perfumer of Italian origin who combined his training in Parisian boutique retail with a background in architecture and an obsession with natural raw materials. The result was a house defined by evocative designer flacons — each bottle conceived as a sculptural object — containing fragrances built from the finest essences sourced worldwide, with Rubis selecting and composing everything himself. After two decades of quiet cult status in Italy, the brand was acquired in 2015 by Officina Parfum, a Milanese parfumerie group, which relaunched the collection internationally in 2016 while preserving the founder's original vision. The house describes itself as French perfumes with an Italian heart, a phrase that captures the duality at its core: Grasse formulation rigour shaped by Mediterranean warmth and the Italian sensibility for beauty as an everyday luxury. Blancheide remains a small, carefully tended house with a devoted niche following across Europe.
