Bottega Verde
Italy's number one natural beauty brand
Bottega Verde was founded in Pienza, Tuscany, by Aldo Bartolomei as an herbal cosmetics company drawing on Italian botanical tradition. From a single shop in the Val d'Orcia it grew into a national chain of over four hundred stores, with a catalogue of skincare, bath and fragrance products organised around plant ingredients — olive, grape, almond, lemon, mimosa. The perfume line sits firmly in the mass tier, priced for everyday Italian shoppers and packaged with the gentle naturalist aesthetic that defines the parent brand. Compositions tend toward soliflore florals and gourmand fruits, sold in eau de toilette concentrations rather than parfum, with frequent seasonal limited editions. Distribution remains overwhelmingly Italian, with a smaller presence in Spain, Portugal and France.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
