Brand No More
The work matters. The logo does not.
Brand No More is an Italian niche house launched in 2021 with an explicitly anti-branding manifesto: the packaging is deliberately spare, the bottle unlabelled in the conventional sense, and the concept centres on the fragrance itself as the only argument for purchase. The house is closely associated with master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, who contributed compositions that reward patient wear — there is structural ambition in each formula rather than an easy hook. Olfactory references range across smoky resins, green botanicals, and dark florals. The brand positions itself within the Italian niche sector, aligning with houses like Extrait de Parfum Roma that prioritise substance over aesthetic theatre. With no celebrity or fashion house backing, Brand No More is a rare case of a project whose commercial proposition is the total removal of commercial signalling — the work and the wearer's nose are the only judge.
