Bruno Banani
Not for everybody
Bruno Banani is a German lifestyle label founded in Chemnitz in 1993, originally as an underwear brand with a knowingly invented Italian-sounding name. The fragrance line, launched under licence in 2000, expanded the house's mass-market appeal into perfumery and is today produced by Coty for global distribution. The scent catalogue is large and youth-oriented: paired men's and women's flankers — Pure Man, Dangerous Woman, Magic, Daring — built around fresh aquatic, fruity, and woody-amber accords at drugstore price points. The style is unapologetically commercial, designed for shelf appeal in European and Eastern European pharmacies and discounters where the brand is most strongly distributed. Bottles tend toward bright colour-blocked plastics or sculpted glass shaped like hearts, lips, or thunderbolts, leaning into the line's playful identity.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
