Bugatti
Herford menswear with a Volkswagen-licensed badge.
Bugatti Fashion — not to be confused with the Alsatian automaker — is a German menswear label founded in 1947 in Herford by Friedrich Wilhelm Brinkmann, which launched its branded fragrance line in 1978 to extend the label's identity into grooming and lifestyle. The fashion house, one of Germany's largest apparel manufacturers, holds a licensing agreement with Volkswagen (which owns the rights to the Bugatti car brand name), giving the fragrance packaging its automotive associations without any commercial or creative link to the cars themselves. The fragrance range, developed through Luxess Group, spans fresh aquatics, aromatic fougères, and soft woods, with perfumers Simone Lo Bue and Dominique Moellhausen among the noses behind specific releases. The Bugatti Fashion fragrance line occupies the accessible prestige tier of the German department-store market, positioned as well-made everyday masculines for the brand's core European customer.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
