By Terry
Parisian luxury drawn from beauty expertise.
By Terry was founded in Paris in 1998 by Terry de Gunzburg, the makeup artist who spent fifteen years as creative director at Yves Saint Laurent Beauté and invented the celebrated Touche Éclat. After establishing her eponymous beauty line, she extended her vision to fragrance in 2012, collaborating with Robertet perfumers in Grasse to create compositions built around the finest raw materials — tuberose absolute, iris butter, and rose essence among them. Each fragrance reflects de Gunzburg's sensibility for light, texture, and precision: an approach rooted in beauty craft rather than conventional perfumery marketing. The house works with a rotating circle of accomplished noses, granting them latitude to express their own aesthetic within her aesthetic framework. The resulting collection is quietly sumptuous — Parisian in its restraint, generous in its materials, and unmistakably shaped by a woman who spent decades defining what luxury beauty should feel like.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
