Casamorati
Nineteenth-century Italian perfumery reborn
Casamorati is an Italian niche perfume house with roots tracing to 1893, when Claudio Casamorati opened a pharmacy and perfumery in Bologna. The original house fell dormant but was revived and reinterpreted under the Xerjoff umbrella, the luxury Turin-based fragrance group founded by Sergio Momo, who acquired the Casamorati name and heritage. The reborn Casamorati line celebrates the aesthetics and aromatic traditions of late nineteenth and early twentieth century Italian perfumery, presenting fragrances in apothecary-style bottles that evoke the original pharmacy setting. The compositions span powder, resin, leather, and floral accords reminiscent of classical Italian elegance. Positioned within the premium niche segment, Casamorati offers collectors and enthusiasts a romantic, historically informed alternative to contemporary minimalism.
