Casaniche
Casaniche is a Chilean niche perfume house founded by perfumer Maximiliano Cifuentes, who works in collaboration with Spanish master perfumer Chris Maurice. The brand emerged from a conviction that South American perfumery — and specifically Chilean landscape, culture, and identity — deserved serious olfactory representation in the niche fragrance world, which has historically been dominated by European and North American voices. Cifuentes's compositions draw on Chilean geography, ecology, and cultural memory: the Andean cordillera, Patagonian forests, the Atacama, and the particular human landscapes of the country's central valley and coastline. The house does not follow market trends or replicate successful formulas; each fragrance is an original creation with a specific regional or emotional referent, made for an international audience willing to encounter unfamiliar olfactory territory. Casaniche distributes internationally and maintains an active presence in the niche fragrance community, including through their online boutique and specialist fragrance retailers. It is one of the most significant voices in Latin American independent perfumery, representing the growing ambition of niche houses in the Global South.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
