Castelbajac
Creator of optimistic fragrance emotions.
Castelbajac Parfums is the fragrance expression of Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, the French nobleman and fashion provocateur known for dressing Madonna in a teddy-bear coat and bringing primary colour back to the runway. Born in Casablanca in 1949, Castelbajac channelled his instinct for joyful, irreverent aesthetics into perfumery from the early 1980s, and the fragrance line has since grown into a full palette of uplifting, accessible scents shaped by that same optimistic spirit. Working with acclaimed perfumers including Maurice Roucel and Karine Dubreuil-Sereni, the house produces feminine, masculine, and unisex compositions that prize emotional warmth over complexity. The Beautiful Day collection, the colourful Eau en Couleur range, and the masculine Castelbajac Homme line exemplify the brand's commitment to fragrance as mood rather than status. Produced in France under the SODIP group, Castelbajac fragrances remain firmly accessible, carrying the designer's conviction that pleasure should never be a luxury.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
