Collistar
The essence of Italian beauty.
Collistar was founded in Milan in 1983 under the stewardship of Daniela Sacerdote, who was recruited by the pharmaceutical group Zambeletti to develop it into a serious beauty brand. From its earliest years the house distinguished itself through innovation: the first compact bronzing powder and the first anti-aging single-dose capsules both emerged from Collistar in 1983, establishing a pattern of combining Italian aesthetic sensibility with genuine cosmetic research. The brand is exclusively Made in Italy, with all formulations developed at its Milan headquarters and produced with specialist partners across northern Italy. It entered selective Italian perfumery with notable success — by 2003 it had achieved first place in the Italian selective beauty market — before being acquired by Bolton Group, under whose ownership it expanded internationally to more than 45 countries while preserving its operational independence and product identity. Collistar's philosophy of "liberating beauty" reflects its consistent emphasis on simplicity: effective formulas, honest quality, and the belief that beauty does not require elaborate ritual. The brand's fragrance line, launched with Acqua Attiva for men in 2009, extends this accessible luxury positioning into perfume.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
