Comporta Perfumes
Portugal's Atlantic coast in fragrance.
Comporta Perfumes was established in Portugal in 2017 by Pedro Dias, drawing creative inspiration from the coastal village of Comporta on the Setúbal Peninsula — a protected stretch of Atlantic shoreline defined by dunes, pine groves, and flat rice paddies. The house commissions celebrated external perfumers rather than maintaining an in-house nose, resulting in a catalog marked by compositional diversity unified by geographic concept. Collaborators have included Bertrand Duchaufour, Chris Maurice, and Miguel Matos, each bringing distinctive technique to their assigned facet of the Comporta landscape. Fragrances balance cool salt air with warm vegetal richness in proportions that suggest specific times of day and season on the Portuguese coast. Distribution spans domestic boutiques, European niche retailers, and international direct channels. Comporta Perfumes positions itself firmly in the niche segment, pricing consistent with the caliber of its collaborating perfumers.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
