Corniche D Or
Mediterranean-inspired niche from Istanbul.
Corniche D'Or positions itself as a Mediterranean perfume house operating out of Istanbul, drawing a sensory map that runs from the rugged limestone cliffs of the southern French coast to the Bosphorus. Founded in 2020, the brand presents its bottles as cut-crystal objects, each designed to suggest a private coastal landscape — salt, mineral warmth, and the particular light of a late-afternoon sea — rather than a conventional fragrance classification. The house commissions external perfumers rather than maintaining its own laboratory, having worked with Hamid Merati-Kashani, Jorge Lee, Karine Vinchon Spehner, and Émilie Bouge. Merati-Kashani, born in Germany and raised partly in Isfahan, brings a Mediterranean-meets-Eastern fluency to the brief; the others contribute a range of European technical schools, lending the collection tonal variety within a consistent geographical conceit. As a Turkish niche house operating in a domestic market historically dominated by French and Italian imports, Corniche D'Or represents the newer Istanbul wave of fragrance entrepreneurship — one that addresses the local appetite for sophisticated positioning while remaining legible to an international collector audience.
