Cosmogony
Cosmogony was established in 2017 in Russia under the Brocard Group, one of Russia's largest luxury retail operators, as a niche fragrance brand built explicitly around collaborations with internationally recognized perfumers. The house's name, meaning 'the origin of the cosmos,' signals a philosophical ambition: fragrance as exploration of fundamental, universal experiences beyond the personal. Collections feature compositions by leading perfumers including Bertrand Duchaufour, Marine Ipert, Julie Massé, and Angéline Leporini — each bringing their individual artistic sensibility to releases that bear their distinct conceptual stamp. The Duchaufour association in particular positions the house within the highest registers of contemporary niche perfumery, his work being among the most critically regarded in the industry. Cosmogony represents the ambitions of Russian niche fragrance culture in the late 2010s, when significant investment went into establishing local houses competitive with established European independents on perfumer talent and creative ambition.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
