Coyotl
Coyotl is a Mexican ultra-niche perfume house created by perfumer Aneberg Prz Lui, drawing deeply on pre-Hispanic mythology, Mesoamerican botanicals, and indigenous sensory culture. The house takes its name from the coyote — a trickster figure and divine messenger in Nahua tradition — and every composition serves as an olfactory portal into the ancient Americas. Unusual raw materials including Mexican chili peppers, copal resin, native flowers, and medicinal herbs appear alongside more familiar fine-fragrance ingredients, resulting in fragrances that feel genuinely unlike anything produced in Paris or Grasse. Collections are named after pre-Hispanic deities and cosmological concepts, grounding each release in scholarship as well as artistry. Operating at the outermost edge of niche perfumery, Coyotl distributes in extremely limited quantities, building a devoted international following among collectors who seek fragrance as cultural encounter rather than commodity.
