Cristian Brinck
Synesthetic perfumery from Viña del Mar.
Cristian Brinck is a Chilean perfumer and jewellery designer based in Viña del Mar whose work proceeds from a condition he describes as synesthesia — the involuntary crossing of sense and colour that means every aroma arrives with its own hue. Founded in 2018, his small house produces handcrafted fragrances that are explicitly autobiographical, each rooted in a specific Chilean landscape, botanical, or memory. Fragrances reference the coastal city of Pucón, the Mapuche ceremonial calendar, the last surviving toromiro tree in the National Botanical Garden of Viña del Mar, and the prehistoric imagery of Grotte Cosquer. Brinck extracts and reconstructs materials from his own country with the care of a scientist and the instinct of a visual artist, blending natural and synthetic ingredients into compositions that feel specific rather than universal. The house sits in a regional tradition that is only beginning to gain international visibility. Brinck's work is unambiguously niche in the truest sense: rooted in place, made by hand, and offered to collectors who want fragrance that carries genuine geographic and biographical weight rather than a borrowed European vocabulary.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
