Cuarzo
Mineral clarity in fragrance.
Cuarzo — formally Cuarzo The Circle — was founded in 2014 by Spanish master perfumer Ramón Béjar, whose career includes decades of award-winning composition and the creation of several fragrances that hold records for price and material rarity. Béjar trained in classical European perfumery before establishing his own house in Spain, giving him both technical foundation and conceptual ambition. Cuarzo fragrances are luxury art objects as much as scents: bottles are embedded with 23-carat gold leaf and faceted diamond quartz, and the compositions themselves incorporate rare natural materials sourced globally. In 2015 Béjar created what was then marketed as the world's most expensive perfume, a landmark that placed the house briefly at the intersection of high jewellery and perfumery. Beyond the spectacle, the compositions are built on serious perfumery principles — oriental and floral-oriental constructions of considerable complexity. The brand operates at ultra-niche pricing and distributes through a small number of luxury specialists, positioning itself firmly in the collector market.
