Cuba Paris
Value-priced French men's fragrances with cigar-bar codes.
Cuba Paris is a French fragrance line introduced in 1996, distributed through Fragluxe and built around sharply themed men's eaux de toilette sold at sub-twenty-euro pricepoints. The brand leans on cigar-and-rum signifiers — Cuba Gold, Cuba Royal, Cuba Prestige, Cuba Black, Cuba Orange — packaged in tall slim flacons that pastiche the codes of premium men's perfumery. The compositions follow recognisable mainstream templates of their decade: aromatic fougères, sweet ambers, woody-spicy structures, often unmistakably reminiscent of better-known designer pillars. New flankers continue to appear into the 2020s through licensed distribution. Cuba Paris occupies the value end of the men's fragrance market — a starter brand for teenagers, gift-shop staple, or pragmatic everyday rotation for wearers who don't see the case for paying ten times more for a similar accord.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
