Custo Barcelona
Barcelona creativity in fragrance.
Custo Barcelona was founded in 1996 by brothers Custo and David Dalmau, who built the brand first on graphic print textiles before expanding into fragrance. The house is synonymous with Catalan pop maximalism — bold colour, pattern, and a confident refusal of minimalist restraint that distinguishes it from the understated end of Spanish design. The fragrance line translates this energy into scent with the help of some of the industry's most accomplished perfumers: Alberto Morillas, Francis Kurkdjian, and Daphné Bugey have each contributed compositions, lending technical seriousness to an accessible-tier offer. The result is fragrance that reads as fun and vivid without sacrificing craft. Custo Barcelona appeals to consumers who want their scent to feel like a statement without the price tag of the haute niche tier. The brand maintains a presence at international fashion weeks, keeping its fragrance line embedded in a broader creative ecosystem.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
