CZAR
Kuwait's luxury fragrance house, perfumers' edition.
CZAR was founded in Kuwait in 2018 by Ahmad Al Heid and Abdulwahab Al Senan, two Kuwaiti entrepreneurs who envisioned a luxury fragrance house capable of commissioning the world's most celebrated perfumers for a Middle Eastern audience. The house claims distinction as the first and only Kuwaiti brand to build authentic collaborative relationships with master perfumers of the caliber of Olivier Cresp, Nathalie Feisthauer, Cécile Zarokian, and Aslan Gülçiçek. CZAR's collections draw consistently on the iconography of the Russian imperial court, using the Romanov legacy as an aesthetic framework for fragrances that tend toward richness and drama — deep orientals, bold woods, and animalic compositions suited to the Gulf's taste for statement perfumery. The house has grown from a regional passion project into a brand with international distribution and a catalog of over twenty-five unisex fragrances. It occupies an interesting position at the intersection of Middle Eastern oud culture and European haute perfumery craftsmanship, translated through an explicitly political and historical visual identity.
