Dar Alteeb / دار الطيب
Saudi Arabian oud and traditional scent mastery.
Dar Alteeb—translated as House of Perfume in Arabic—is a Saudi Arabian niche fragrance house founded in 2001 by Abdulaziz Al Thufairi, dedicated to the oud-centric aromatic traditions of the Arabian peninsula. The house sources high-grade agarwood and combines it with complementary materials drawn from the regional lexicon: rose, musk, ambergris, and rare resins that together produce the intensely layered, long-lived compositions prized within Gulf fragrance culture. Al Thufairi built the brand around traditional craft rather than trend-following, prioritizing material quality and classical Saudi composition technique over international fashion cycles. Dar Alteeb serves primarily a domestic and regional audience of oud connoisseurs while building international awareness through the growing Western appetite for authentic Middle Eastern niche fragrance. The house positions itself as a custodian of Arabian olfactory heritage rather than a luxury lifestyle brand, maintaining a commitment to authenticity that distinguishes it from more commercially oriented regional houses.
