Durance en Provence
Provençal home and personal fragrance, made in Grignan.
A Provençal lifestyle and fragrance house founded in 1997, when a family of perfume enthusiasts bought a small lavender farm in Grignan, in the Drôme Provençale. Durance still distils essential oils on site and frames its identity around the agricultural landscape of southern France — lavender fields, olive groves, fig trees, hilltop villages. The range covers room sprays, scented candles, soaps, laundry care and personal fragrance, with eaux de parfum and eaux de toilette in classic Provençal idioms: lavender, verbena, rose, fig, orange blossom, mimosa. The compositions are gentle and recognisably regional rather than avant-garde, sold through Durance's own boutiques in France and a network of European pharmacies and lifestyle stores. It suits wearers who treat fragrance as part of a calm, slightly bucolic domestic register.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
