Emper
A legacy in every note.
A Dubai-based perfume house founded in 2006 by Akbar Mun, now run by his son Azhar Akbar Mun. Emper produces a wide commercial range across both Western-style eaux de parfum and oriental attars, distributed across more than 120 countries from a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing site in the UAE. The catalogue is built around accessibly priced flankers and gifting collections, with frequent releases that draw on the Gulf-region taste for oud, rose and amber alongside lighter floral and aquatic compositions aimed at export markets. Bottles often borrow the visual language of higher-tier designer houses, which has made the brand a fixture of duty-free and supermarket fragrance counters across the Middle East, South Asia and parts of Africa. It suits wearers shopping by note rather than by name.
