Engage
Engage is an Indian mass-market fragrance brand launched in 2013 by ITC Limited, the diversified Indian conglomerate whose fragrance arm also includes Fiama and Vivel. The brand targets urban Indian young adults and positions itself on the theme of interpersonal attraction and closeness — a positioning unusual for mass-market fragrance, where deodorant and body spray brands typically compete on freshness and sport rather than intimacy. Engage sells body sprays, eau de parfums, and deodorant sticks across a range of gendered and couple-targeted formats, with products designed and priced for the Indian drugstore and grocery channel. Its fragrances are built on mainstream oriental and aromatic accords familiar to the Indian palate — light ouds, jasmine, rose, sandalwood, and fresh musk — at a price point accessible to the aspirational lower-middle-class consumer. Since launch, Engage has become one of the most widely distributed fragrance brands in India by retail footprint, benefiting from ITC's extensive distribution infrastructure across the subcontinent.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
