Essential Parfums
Renowned noses, single compositions, honest pricing.
Essential Parfums was founded in Paris in 2018 by Géraldine Archambault, a veteran of the fragrance industry with thirty years of experience who set out to address what she saw as its central contradictions: why do creative perfumes cost so much, and why do the talents behind them remain invisible? Her answer was to invite the industry's most celebrated noses — among them Calice Becker, Quentin Bisch, Natalie Gracia-Cetto, and Fabrice Pellegrin — and give each one an unconstrained brief: no budget limits, no juice price caps, only a requirement to incorporate at least one sustainably sourced ingredient. The resulting collection strips away elaborate packaging and intermediary margins, delivering single compositions signed by their creators at prices designed to reflect perfume's actual value rather than its mythology. The house passed the million-bottle mark within a few years of launch, validating the bet that transparency and accessibility are not at odds with genuine artistry.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
