Fang
Fang is a niche fragrance house based in the Republic of the Congo, founded in 2019 with compositions attributed to perfumer Fang-Fang. The house takes its name from the Fang people, a Bantu ethnic group whose cultural territory spans Gabon, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea — signalling a brand rooted in Central African identity and tradition. Fang aroma works with materials indigenous to equatorial Africa, including local woods, resins, and botanicals rarely encountered in mainstream or Western niche perfumery, and positions itself as a corrective to the European and Middle Eastern dominance of the global fragrance narrative. Its compositions are bold, resinous, and unapologetically African in character — a deliberate statement about whose aesthetic heritage is allowed to define luxury fragrance. The house distributes primarily online and through a small number of African and international specialist channels. Fang represents a genuinely unusual voice in contemporary niche perfumery: a house whose founding premise is to centre African olfactory culture as a source of beauty rather than merely as a supplier of exotic raw materials.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
