Farfalla
Swiss natural fragrance and aromatherapy since 1982.
Farfalla is a Swiss natural-cosmetics and aromatherapy company founded in 1982 by a group of Zurich friends who wanted to build their fascination with plant essences into a working business. The first dedicated fragrance shop opened in Zurich in 1985, and the company has since grown into a recognised pioneer of certified organic cosmetics in the German-speaking market while remaining a family-owned operation. The perfume side of Farfalla sits inside a wider catalogue of essential oils, skincare and home aromatics, with most production handled in-house in Switzerland and roughly four-fifths of raw materials from organic farming or wild harvest. Compositions favour transparency, single-note clarity and the slightly herbal, alpine register of European naturals. Farfalla suits wearers who treat fragrance as part of a broader botanical and wellness practice.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
