Florame

Michel Sommerard founded Florame in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in 1990, drawing on his expertise as an agricultural specialist and advocate for certified organic essential oils. He had already contributed to establishing France's first formal specifications for organic essential oil production, and Florame was conceived as the applied expression of those standards: a cosmetics and fragrance house where every formula would earn the Ecocert, Cosmébio, and AB certifications. The house formulates its products in its own laboratory in Saint-Rémy, while fragrance compositions are created by a master nose in Grasse in close consultation with the brand. Florame was a founding member of Cosmébio in 2002, cementing its position as one of the pioneers of French organic beauty. Its perfumes translate the landscape of Provence — lavender, immortelle, wild herbs, and warm stone — into certified-organic constructions that carry the integrity of their raw materials through to the finished bottle.
