Forvil
French fragrance heritage, 1923–present.
Forvil was founded in France in 1923 by Léo Fink, establishing itself within the first generation of modern French commercial perfumery. Now owned by Terraké France and with perfumer Jacky Couturier providing contemporary craft, the house has operated across a century of French fragrance history — through the golden age of haute couture perfumery, the synthetic revolution of the 1960s, the designer fragrance boom of the 1980s, and the niche renaissance of the 2000s. Forvil's longevity places it in the company of French heritage brands that have survived by maintaining consistent quality and loyal domestic customer bases rather than chasing international prestige. Compositions are anchored in the French accessible tradition — well-made, reliably wearable, priced for regular purchase rather than special occasion. The house carries the quiet dignity of a century-old French fragrance name that never became globally famous but remains genuinely well-crafted and consistently faithful to its original character.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
