GAIA Parfums is Pakistan's first Karachi-based niche indie fragrance house, founded in 2020 by Ovais Saleem with a commitment to small-batch artisanal production using natural and organic raw materials wherever possible. Every fragrance in the catalogue is designed by perfumer Anas Sabrani under Saleem's creative direction, and the work is built around a deliberate, story-first methodology — each release conceived as a scented narrative rooted in heritage, landscape, or history. The brand organises its collections around deep cultural themes: the Ottoman and Mughal empires, the cities and deserts of Pakistan, and the spiritual artisanship of the Islamic world. Releases including Peshawar, Songs of Thar, Ruh al-Sultan, and Babur's Legacy demonstrate the range's commitment to telling specific, geographically and historically grounded stories rather than producing trend-driven compositions. GAIA represents a meaningful expansion of the global niche perfumery map, bringing South Asian olfactory culture and heritage into conversation with the international artisanal fragrance community.
