Galimard
Galimard is among the oldest continuously operating perfume houses in the world, founded in Grasse in 1747 by Jean de Galimard, who supplied oils and fragrances to the court of King Louis XV. The house is headquartered in Grasse — the Provençal town historically regarded as the world capital of perfume — and continues to produce its fragrances on-site using traditional methods and locally grown flowers. Visitors to the Galimard atelier can attend workshops in which they blend their own bespoke scent from a palette of raw materials, a practice that has made the house an enduring destination for both tourists and serious fragrance students. The commercial catalogue spans classic florals, citrus colognes, and rich orientals, all carrying the weight of nearly three centuries of craft.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
