Gather Perfume
American niche pioneer since 1996.
Gather Perfume was founded in 1996 by Ananda Wilson in Portland, Oregon, placing it among the earliest American indie fragrance houses to establish a dedicated natural perfumery practice. Wilson's approach is rooted in botanical philosophy: materials are sourced with attention to ecological impact, and compositions are designed to feel alive in the way that blended synthetics rarely achieve. The portfolio spans meditative incense accords, Northwest forest compositions, and warmly resinous botanicals that reflect the Pacific Northwest landscape where the house is based. Three decades of practice have given Wilson a technical depth and creative maturity that newer natural perfumers are still building toward. Gather is a foundational name for anyone mapping the history of American independent perfumery.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
